APA bylaws amendments and apportionment ballot
APA’s Council of Representatives proposes two bylaws amendments changing voting eligibility for recording secretary and treasurer elections and raising the roll-call vote threshold at council meetings. View the full text. This vote will be included with the apportionment ballot emailed to the voting membership on Nov. 2. Voting closes on Dec. 17. Access your ballot and vote on your member profile page at my.apa.org. Eligible voters are APA Members, Fellows, and Graduate Student Members and Associates of more than one year. President-elect and Board of Directors election results
The election for president-elect and Board of Directors members-at-large closed on September 16, 2026. Candice Nicole Hargons, PhD, was elected president-elect for 2027. Lisa K. Kearney, PhD, ABPP, and Tess M. Kilwein, PhD, ABPP, were elected members-at-large of the APA Board of Directors beginning in 2027.
